Scott, Peter B. Attorney

For 39 years Peter Scott has been advising families and businesses on how to protect their assets and minimize or avoid taxes. His advice focuses on helping people preserve and pass on their wealth and their legacy by making informed decisions through proactive planning.

Peter is a nationally known educator and author. He has taught continuing education classes to other professionals on such topics as estate, business and tax planning. He currently teaches classes at Metropolitan State College of Denver. He has taught classes and courses at Front Range Community College; the Estate and Wealth Strategies Institute at Michigan State University; the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice in Sarasota, Florida; the Wealth Management Certificate Program of the Investment Management Consultants Association; the Business Enterprise Institute; the American Society of Women Accountants; the National Business Institute; and others. Peter has been listed in Who’s Who in American Law.

He received his LL.M. in Taxation and his law degree from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri; and an A.B. in Business Administration and Economics from Drury University.

Peter is a contributing author to the book, “Love, Money, Control: Reinventing Estate Planning,” published by Quantum Press. He is also a coauthor of the book, “Estate Planning and Taxation in Colorado,” published by Bradford Publishing and a contributing author to, “Your Legacy; Meaningful Estate Planning” published in 2008. He is a contributing author to: The Complete Guide to Estate and Financial Planning in Turbulent Times; published in 2010. He is also an editor and contributing author to Being in Business is a Funny Thing - Getting Out is Not, A Business Owner’s Guide to Growing & Transitioning the Business, to be published in 2011.
